Disconnected

Outer space is one of the most hostile environments ever visited by mankind. One will not survive for long without a protecting capsule and a space suit. In space, our lives depend on modern techniques. So what if those modern systems fail, and you eventually loose all contact with earth? Disconnected is a short film on the sense of loneliness at 300 km above the earth. Far away from everything that is secure to you and only relying on technology.

Together with Jeroen Braspenning, I've made the short film Disconnected. Inspired by just two images, we developed the narrative of the images into a short script. The shooting of the film took 3 days and it was done in the attic of Jeroen's house.
