Times Square

The interactive installation Times Square is based upon the experience of rhythm and time. Rhythm is the organisation of time and can be found everywhere in nature, for example in the passing of the seasons or the beating of the heart. In this installation, heart rhythm is captured and translated into a musical beat. The visitors can play with different lights hanging from the ceiling, that can be pushed into a swinging motion which causes different kinds of audio. This simple interaction challenges visitors to play and to create a wide range of soundscapes.
