Rijksakademie

annual report

The Dutch Rijksakademie is the most important postgraduate residency programme for visual artists in the Netherlands. This year, Fabrique, where I worked during my internship, was responsible for the design and realisation of the online version of the annual report. The annual report of the Rijksakademie had 2 main goals: First, it was going to be used to report to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. Second, it was intended to inform the general public about the activities of the Rijksakademie. The report contains diverse information, for example the financial report, an overview of alumni, a summary of the Prix de Rome and works of participating artists. The non-linear form makes it possible for the public to pick out effortlessly what they need.

We decided to present the content as separate short articles. A lot of articles are related by subject and interest, for example the article about the Prix de Rome 2006 was linked to an article about the Prix de Rome 2007. The main idea of the online annual report is that the reader always has all the information at his/her disposal, but that the articles, that are relevant for the viewer are displayed bigger and closer, right next to the main article.

Please find the annual online through the link on the right side of this article.
